life. There are certain procedures that need to be followed for pigeon racing. First of all, according to the association rules, wings are stamped and then a vaccination for paramyxovirus is used for the bird that is the legal part of a pigeon race.
Mandatory measures before pigeon racing:
A pre-race practice session can be a good idea to just warm up your pigeon for the race. Meanwhile, the pigeon racing should begin in the morning to provide sufficient time to the birds to return home before the darkness takes over. Although, keep in mind that to make your pigeon fly faster and sooner to come back to the loft, you should feed only as little as half of its normal routine diet. This will develop a more burning desire in the pigeon to return back to the loft and have its food. Any morning exercises should also be avoid as it can only overload or make the bird tired for the actual pigeon racing.
The pigeon racing Trial:
During the trial racing, make sure that your bird enters the trap and then move forward as it is a really crucial step to do so. In few flights, you will notice that the bird will take a little longer than the expected time of arriving back to the loft but you do not have to worry about that. This time will get shorter and shorter day by day before the actually pigeon racing takes place. At this time, makes sure that the distance from the starting point to the destination is not more than 5 Km. However, you should slowly and gradually increase it with a constant pace.

The Final Shot before the pigeon racing:
Last but not the least, if you are so much committed to win the pigeon racing competition, then you has to prepare your pigeon to face any kind of troubles. Thus, when the training distance reaches 20Km then it is a good time to take out your pigeon even in bad weathers (Strong Storms, heavy rain falls and etc. are excluded of course). This is a mandatory training session because if the weather is bad at the time of pigeon racing but not as bad enough to stop the race, then you have no other option to fly your bird. Therefore, if you already train your bird for such weathers, it can produce some amazing results.
Hence, if you prepare your pigeon tough and smart before the pigeon racing to face any challenges intelligently then there is a very high probability that your pigeon can be crowned the championship without any trouble. However, dedication, commitment and training smartly are the key to success in pigeon racing to achieve success.
