Where Does One Find Pigeon Products?

Basically purchasing pigeon products can be done online rather easily.

Products for Pigeons
Online you will find that the products are all neatly displayed for ease on finding whatever you need. Looking at just one of these pigeon products locations, I find that they will have water fountains and heaters, vitamins and supplements, small cups and bowls, publications about pigeons, predator products, parasite products, nesting supplies, loft supplies, leg bands and tags, hand feeding products, scoops, feed and grit hoppers, carriers and baskets, arts and novelties, and of course a huge array of antibiotics, vaccines and assorted medications.
Purchasing pigeon products in the olden days
The purchase of anything having to do with pigeons used to be an almost impossible endeavor. Often the local veterinarian could help you, but only if he was interested in birds, specifically pigeons. None of the advanced products that we see today were available at all, though antibiotics frequently could be purchased from said veterinarian or even the town doctor. Pigeon enthusiasts had to make their own nesting boxes, keep away their own predators as best as they could, and even made their own leg bands as well as tags. Those older pigeon enthusiasts were the precursors of much of the products that we actually utilize today, many making pigeon dips, for example, that helped the pigeons to not harbor lice.
Pigeon products that help pigeons
Today we are so very lucky to have such things as worming tablets that rid our pigeons of worms, for example. Anytime a pigeon is done moulting, we use these worming tablets that will rid them of hair and roundworm for example. Everyone also knows to use the tablets whenever you introduce a new bird into the flock. Also, gape and tapeworm infections are taken care of with the exact same medicine. Our pigeons, meaning pigeons that were utilized in the United States and Canada, served our countries well, flying through hails of bullets to deliver the messages they had in their bands. Granted in the old days, pigeons found their own foods, but today we feed them legume seeds, rice, soybeans, sorghum and corn.
Strange pigeon products
Those not into having or keeping pigeons will be utterly surprised to find out how many products are available to the pigeon fancier. There are those who raise pigeons as homing pigeons, others who race them, others who simply love to breed them. There are products for each of these endeavors, of course. There are also products simply made for those who find pigeons lovely. These include such thing as cups with pigeons on them, bone china artistic plates, pigeon note cards, pigeon playing cards, and even a pigeon designed pint pot tankard, as well as dozens of different kinds of pigeon t-shirts of course. Then we have the truly strange pigeon products such as extremely light whistles that are attached to pigeon tails to distract prey, and to alert the receiver that there is a new message that just arrived.
